#Kitchen mood board upgrade
The cabinets got a little glam upgrade with heavy gold knobs and pulls. I love the neutral color paired with lovely texture and movement. They are glazed with a raised pattern and remind me of expensive French tiles without the price tag. To finish off the French Country kitchen I am striving for I selected these gorgeous wall tiles. This is the exact one we got and we love it. It’s a must-have in an open concept house. One thing we have grown spoiled about over the years is a super silent dishwasher. Unfortunately, this house isn’t plumbed for gas and it would have been silly expensive to add it so he researched and chose an induction cooktop. My husband is the cook in our family and he loves a gas range. Quartz is more durable and that was the deciding factor for us. We installed marble kitchen counters in our last home and while they were beautiful they did show wear and tear more than I like. The countertops just feel a little busy and I want a more sleek, neutral look. I LOVED the cabinets when we looked at this house and they are one of the reasons we bought it. So here is my vision for our updated builder grade kitchen!! I have a complete supply list below if you want to know exactly what and where I found the elements to this room! It may seem odd to renovate a new house, but we have moved enough to know it is SO MUCH BETTER to get things how you like them on the front end of owning a home than wait until it’s time to move or live for years wishing you would have just done it! We like our house, but really wanted to make some changes so we would LOVE it! The kitchen is the main makeover we are implementing. That was great, but we had to pick a new house pretty quick in return. We relocated for my husband’s job and our house sold quickly (thank you God!). We just bought a brand new builder house this summer when we moved.
